Torquay Beaches - Torquay is not only a mecca for surfers but also has protected family beaches. Nearby Jan Juc beach is a little ‘wilder’. Bells Beach is next stop on the coast west, and is home to the Rip Curl Pro Surfing Classic at Easter time. Just a short drive away, Point Addis provides breathtaking views out to sea and back to the bay.

The Surf World Museum Torquay - is a showcase of Australia's surfing and beach culture, and incorporates related dress and musical fashions.

Events 2009

The biggest event of the year is the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach. This is held at Easter. It is Australia's longest running and most famous professional surfing event attracting surfers from all over the world.
